America Decides – Does The 2024 Election Matter?
As the US heads off to the polls and voters, pundits, and professional gamblers must decide whether this is another phony contest between the right and left wings of the same bird, and whether rampant cheating will determine the outcome, as seen in 2020.
Donald Trump, now a 78-year-old man, has shortened into pronounced favoritism with leading betting exchanges such as Betfair and Polymarket in recent days. Trump has surrounded himself with vastly superior people than during his chaotic first term that was hampered by appalling personnel choices, none more glaring than Bill Barr, Christopher Wray, Anthony Fauci, Debra Birx, and the treasonous Mike Pence.
RFK is a huge addition to the Trump team and provides the focus and direction that was lacking from the first term. Vivek Ramaswami is a smart guy, J D Vance makes a compelling heir apparent/attack dog, Elon Musk adds some creative leftfield thinking, and we can only hope that Trump has spent four years assembling a crack team of non-deep state players to head up the countless three letter agencies.
Kamala Harris is performing as well as could be expected on the campaign trail, dodging questions, distancing herself from the dementia-driven disasters of Uncle Joe, spouting gibberish and inanities about yellow school buses and the eternal significance of the passage of time. Her grasp of economics is laughable. She speaks as though a magic money tree will fund her lavish promises to marginalised groups so they can buy houses and participate in some imaginary ‘opportunity economy’.
Mike Walz has a constant deer in the headlights look about him and adds nothing to any discussion except some small-town stories about coaching football teams. He appears to have been chosen for the same reason Kamala was, to make the lead candidate appear slightly better by comparison. Rumors are swirling about inappropriate behavior/relationships with male students during his teaching days, and we can expect to see less of him during the final days of the campaign.
The golden rule regarding wagering in any field of contest is to avoid events that can be fixed. The smart move during this election cycle was to bet against the vacant stare of Uncle Joe to be the Democratic nominee, a play that has already filled the pockets of the professional participants after they were burned by the 2020 fixing fiasco.
It will be intriguing to see whether the Dems have the gall and gumption to stack ballot boxes with phoney votes at three o’clock in the morning again, and whether Trump’s team is prepared to counter such manoeuvres. The criminal division of the Democratic party will have dirty tricks at its disposal when, like cornered rats, they have nothing left to lose.
So, who is the likely winner? If Trump can keep dodging the bullets of his would-be (MK-Ultra) assassins, and produces a margin beyond that of clumsy cheating, he should be able to paint the electoral map bright red. Kamala’s polling outside of deep blue cities is dismal as her corny comedy routine falls completely flat in the nation’s heartland. If Trump can carry Pennsylvania, he appears almost certain to prevail.
We can then expect the influence of Elon and RFK to emerge as the excess blubber of the bloated bureaucracy is hacked from the decaying American carcass. 80% of government employees could safely be fired without any negative consequence, and Trump should let the chainsaws run free. Vance presents as the perfect insurance policy, unlike the evils of the corrupt and compromised Pence.
So, expect audacious attempts at cheating. Expect Pennsylvania to emerge as the key swing state. Expect an army of red hats to swarm from trailers, hovels, shanties, and log cabins. Expect left-wing media figures to break down and weep openly on air as they bemoan the ‘tragic death of democracy’. Expect celebrities to move to Canada or Finland, particularly if they have partied with Diddy or frequented Epstein Island.
Expect blue-haired cat ladies to screech and writhe in the street. Expect the price of Bitcoin and gold to pump. Expect riots, looting, and the smell of burning tyres. Expect NPCs to repeat their scripted lines about the ‘dangerous rise of the far right’ like a well-conducted choir. And expect a period of chaos during which canned food and firearms will rise in immediate perceived value. Expect and embrace the impending mayhem.
Vote wisely America. The world is watching.
